Prophetess Fadeke Omideyi is a revered spiritual leader and the General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK, incorporating the Sower International Evangelical Ministry. Her dedication and strong faith have significantly impacted the church and the entire local community.
Prophetess Omideyi was ordained a Prophetess at Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK in 1993 and was appointed as the General Overseer in 2021. Relinquishing her career in corporate governance, she entered into full time ministry in 1984, and worked diligently with her late husband, Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi, the Founder and First General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK, until his passing in 2011.
Prophetess Omideyi founded ‘Harvesters’, the women’s ministry of the church, aimed at empowering Christian women to show Christ’s love through charitable deeds.
The Harvesters Kitchen offering cooked meals and Foodbank provision continues to serve the community extensively. This project shows her dedication to serving and uplifting the community, thereby emphasizing her commitment to community service.
For over a decade, Prophetess Omideyi founded and managed the Harvesters Prison Project, focusing on welfare support for African, Caribbean, and British women of colour in His Majesty’s Prisons. Under her leadership, the project often extended beyond its initial scope, demonstrating her ability to navigate and lead through complex challenges with divine support.
Since 2014, as instructed by the Lord, Prophetess Omideyi, has held quarterly revival meetings under the leadership of the Holy Spirit at the David Camp Prayer Ground, Ogun state Nigeria. These meetings have grown in leaps and bounds since its inception and have always attracted a mammoth crowd, creating the atmosphere for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and God visiting His people. The unflinching word of truth aimed at character transformation and righteous living for eternal life, is the hallmark of these meetings, with the attendant benefits of healing, deliverance and breakthroughs. During these revival meetings, people come into a heightened awareness of spiritual things as never before with reverence, holy fear and a solemn awe of God.
The revival fire that burns in the bones of Prophetess Omideyi keeps pushing her beyond the bounds of her comfort zone to bringing the love, saving grace and power of GOD to the peoples of the world. Her ministry has taken the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Massai tribe communities in Northern Tanzania, with the distribution of food, and currently constructing education facilities for children in Selela, under the umbrella of the Sower Care Initiative, thereby expressing the love of God in words, philanthropic efforts and spiritual leadership.
The Pacesetters Project, envisioned by the Prophetess over a decade ago, aims to empower youths and young adults to develop and reach their full potential in preparation for integrity- based leadership in society. Through seminars, workshops and retreat programs, in the UK, Nigeria and Tanzania, the young people have the opportunity to discover and develop their potential. To uphold the music legacy of the founding fathers of the church, this project is now diversifying into the Pacesetters Music and Media Academy, and the Pacesetters School of Ethics to corroborate the ethos of the Pacesetters Project.
The music academy aims at providing a platform for aspiring musicians and media creatives to learn and enhance their skills, to deliver positive community messaging through their art.
The project will aim to target disadvantaged demographics in the community who otherwise would struggle to have access to such opportunities.
The school of ethics will provide the much-needed lessons in etiquette, poise/finesse and character building for young people’s personal development.
Other community projects initiated by her are the Hackney Community Gospel Choir, using singing as a therapeutic tool and for community cohesion, and and the GoGetters, a project which offers free office space for young business start-ups.
Prophetess Omideyi is dedicated to sustaining and expanding the church’s mission. In her role, she continues to preach the Word of God in uncompromising truth and upholds the legacy of salvation messages left by her late husband. She is the author of the “Daily Nuggets”, an online daily devotional.
Known for her open-door policy at the vicarage, she remains accessible for nurturing and nourishment, embodying her belief that transformation is possible for everyone. As a seasoned teacher of the word, revivalist, and intercessor, she is dedicated to serving God and humanity with unwavering tenacity. Through her commitment, faith and leadership, she aims to inspire and uplift the church and community, fostering a spirit of faith, hope, and love. She is motivated by her popular phrase:
I am called to make a defference
I have decided and I am determined, with dedication and devotion to pursue my dream.
That dream will be fulfilled to make a difference wherever God leads me
The scripture in Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) aptly describes her: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Her leadership is a testament to her selfless service and dedication to God’s work. Her life and ministry reflect deep faith, strong leadership, and compassion. A devoted mother and grandmother, her consistent prayer is that the mantle of the Holy Spirit rests upon her as she leads, guiding her with wisdom and strength.
